Heathrow terminal 5 is main hub for British Airways. China Southern, Iberia, Iberia Express and Qatar Airways also use terminal 5. A full list of destination is available at the bottom of this page.
Heathrow Terminal 5 Arrivals
Heathrow terminal 5 arrivals are located on ground level for both international and domestic flights.
Heathrow Terminal 5 Meeting Points
Meeting points at terminal 5 are located on ground level, when coming out of international arrivals into arrival lounge look on your right side, signs are very well posted. When coming out of domestic arrivals please look on your left side. Meeting points located near the airport information area.
Terminal 5 Information Points
Information wall is in the middle of arrival lounge. Passenger ambassadors are present throughout Terminal 5. They wear a purple uniform, and you will find them walking around the terminal in arrivals and departures.
They can assist you with directions, information on flights and can even arrange for assistance in other languages. There is also an Information Zone, which is located on the ground floor near the UK arrivals. Here you can find leaflets, maps and help screens.
Flight Connections from Heathrow Terminal 5
International connections do not require going through Immigrations but all International to Domestic connections do. Domestic to International connecting passengers can use special Immigration checkpoints if baggage is already checked.
Transfers between Terminal 5 and other Terminals
Inter-terminal transport
Heathrow Express rail service provides free access to Terminals 4 and Terminal 5. (Inter-terminal connections between Terminal 3 and Terminal are currently suspended.)
You can also take the London Underground to Terminals 4 and 5, but this service is only free to Oyster card holders.
A number of buses are available between the Central Bus Station (Terminals 2 and 3) and the other terminals, although trains are more convenient for those with luggage. Buses between terminals are free of charge.
Check In at Heathrow Terminal 5
All check-in counters can be found on the Level 3 of Terminal 5.
Many airlines now provide their own self-service check-in counters. Staff at these airports can direct you to the corresponding airport service desks, which also have dedicated luggage check-in areas.
You can save time and the environment by checking in online, downloading the boarding pass to a mobile device, or using the airline's convenient mobile application if you want to increase efficiency.
Recommended Check in Time
- All International flights: Minimum 3 hours
- All European flights: Minimum 2 hours
- All Domestic flights: Minimum 90 minutes
Transportation to / from Heathrow Terminal 5
Taxi Services
Black Cabs (metered taxi) are available from outside the terminal building, you do not need to reserve these in advance.
Road Links
In addition to being a central terminal at London Heathrow Airport, it is well connected to the M4 through a spur road and tunnel under the north runway.
Rail Services
The Piccadilly Line (Tube) provides direct access to Heathrow Terminal 3 from Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 stations. Trains run to Cockfosters via Central London from Terminal 3. Heathrow Express connects Heathrow terminal 3 to Paddington Station in London.
Bus & Coach Services
London Heathrow Terminal 3 is a short walk from Heathrow Central bus station, where National Express connects Heathrow Airport to most destinations in the UK.

Heathrow Shuttle offers low cost door to door private airport transportation services to and from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to any destination in the UK. All private airport transfers must be booked in advance.
Heathrow Shuttle driver will meet you inside the arrival lounge with your name board and will driver you directly to your destination anywhere in the UK.

Car Park Level One
The pickup point for Heathrow Terminal 5 is located at car park level one. The distance between the arrivals and the pickup point is 40-50 yards. Its about 1 to 2 minutes walk.
40 to 60 Minutes
Terminal 5 Arrivals. For international flights it usually takes about 40 to 60 minutes to get to the Arrivals hall. For Domestic flights it takes around 20 to 30 minutes. Passengers from all countries will no longer require landing cards on arrival into the UK.
£5 for each drop off
You can pay for the charge online, via mobile phone, automated telephone service or by autopay functionality. The service is operated via Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), there will be no barriers in the Drop Off area.
