Heathrow Airport  is a major international airport in London, United Kingdom. Heathrow is the third busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic (surpassed by Dubai International in 2014, and Hong Kong International in 2016), as well as the busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and the sixth busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic. In 2016, it handled a record 75.7 million passengers, a 1.0% increase from 2015.

Heathrow lies 14 miles (23 km) west of Central London, and has two parallel east–west runways along with four operational terminals on a site that covers 12.27 square kilometers (4.74 sq mi).H

Flight Connections

International connections do not require going through Immigration but all International to Domestic connections do. Domestic to International connecting passengers can use special Immigration check points if baggage is already checked.


Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 

Used by over 16 million passengers to both domestic and international destinations via 29 airlines. Arrivals for international arriving passengers and baggage reclaim are on Level 1 of Terminal 2. Check-in is located on the top floor of Terminal 2. Flight Arrivals are located on Level 1 while Flight Departures can be found on Level 5 (Check-in level) and Level 4 (Gates A1-A26).  read more 

 

Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 

Used by 18 airlines and approximately 17.7 million passengers. Terminal 3 mainly operates long-haul flights, although some are to European destinations.  Arrivals is located on the left at the north end of the building on the ground floor. Check-In and Flight Arrivals are located on the ground floor at the front of the building and Flight Departures are above check-in on the first floor.  read more 

 

 

Heathrow Airport Terminal 4  

Home to 34 airlines and used by over 9.5 million passengers each year. Flights operating from Terminal 4 are mainly for long-haul and European destinations, with Air France, Etihad Airlines, and KLM being some of the major airlines flying from this terminal.  Flight Arrivals are located on the ground floor of the terminal, and Flight Departures on the 1st floor. Check-In is located on the first floor of the terminal, along with Flight Departures. Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 

State of the art terminal is used by approximately 31.9 million passengers pass through its doors on more than 200,000 annual flights. Terminal 5 is exclusively used by just two airlines; BA and Iberia. British Airways, with the majority of their flights departing from Terminal 5, fly long haul, Iberia fly to Madrid whilst Iberia Express serve Gran Canaria and Tenerife North.  read more
